Gümüşhaneliler Kültür Sanat Çevre ve Sosyal Dayanışma Derneği (GÜDAP) “acilen buğday ekimi seferberliği başlatılsın” çağrısı yaptı.
GÜDAP üyesi Metin Öztürk, doğup büyüdüğü topraklara anlamlı destekte bulunarak, “Doğduğum ve ekmeği ile büyüdüğüm şirin Gümüşhanemizin çiftçilerine ekmeleri için ücretsiz olarak bir ton 28 kromozomlu karakılçık atalık buğday tohumu gönderiyoruz” dedi.
Öncelikle Kelkit, Köse, Şiran ve Yeşilbük beldesi başta olmak üzere, bereketli toprakları bin yıllık ata tohumu olarak bilinen kaybolmaya yüz tutmuş karakılçık buğdayıyla buluşturacaklarını kaydeden Öztürk, “Burada buğdayların üreticilerle buluşmasını sağlayacağız. Buğday için ücret talep etmiyoruz. Sadece gönderdiğimiz tohumları hasat zamanı bize iade edilmesini isteyeceğiz. Bu iade edilen tohumluk buğdayları da daha sonra yine bölge insanına dağıtmayı düşünüyoruz” dedi.
Tohumun önemine vurgu yapan GÜDAP Bakanı Kamil Koç ise “Tohum köktür gelenektir gelecektir. Diğer atalık buğdaylardan ayrı olarak Anadolu’muzun en kadim buğdaylarından Karakılçık buğdayı. Dünyanın en büyük iki buğday ihracatçısı Rusya ve Ukrayna’nın savaşa girmesiyle, buğday fiyatları, son 10 yılın en yüksek seviyesine çıktı. Buğday üretiminde önemli yer tutan Ukrayna’da bu yıl buğday hasadı ya olmayacak ya da çok az olacak. Gelecek yaz aylarından sonra buğday krizi yaşanabilir. Ülkemizde ekilebilecek yerlere devlet destekli buğday ekimi yapılması hayati önem taşımaktadır. Daha geç olmadan gerekli adımlar atılmalıdır. Ülkemizde buğday ekimleri genelde sonbaharda yapılır biliyoruz ama yine de bu aylarda yapılacak ekimden de kayda değer ürün alınabileceğini düşünüyoruz. Acilen buğday ekimi seferberliği başlatılsın. Yerelden ulusala bu çağrımıza çoğalması umuduyla” diye konuştu.
